I Just Called To Say I Love You...

Here we are - finally Friday! I had a half-dozen different ideas about what to post today - recipes, jokes, a rant or two - but in the end, I felt led to just say, 'Thank you.'

Thank you for listening to Spirit-FM, and thank you for letting me be a part of your life! Each and every day, we receive emails, letters, phone calls, or combinations thereof - all thanking Spirit-FM for the ministry. Truth is, Spirit-FM doesn't exist without you! I am so humbled to be able to do something that I love so passionately - radio broadcasting - to further the kingdom of God!

I got a call from someone who told me that they had been touched by something I said (the words were God's - not mine), and I felt a gambet of emotion from touched to humbled to excited to thankful. The truth is, I'm a busted vessel - just like you. I think that's why I'm so passionate about what I do here at Spirit-FM...I'm not some super-Christian with his cape flappin' in the wind. If you knew me even five years ago - TOTALLY different man. But when God gets ahold of you - everything changes. And it has for me.

That's what I want to share with you every time I get behind the microphone. Some people will say that we 'preach' too much at Spirit-FM. But we don't have a choice. God has taken our happy little band of misfits and messups - and He's put us in this place for a purpose.

But everyone knows that a message doesn't matter without someone to hear it, and that's where we come back to YOU. Because YOU tune in every day...because YOU tell your friends about the station...because YOU financially support this ministry - OUR lives have been changed, too.

So when we say, "Life-Changing Radio," know this - the lives that are changed aren't just those on the receiving end of the radio speakers. The crew 'on the other side of the radio' is changing, growing, and experiencing the love, healing, and sometimes the correction of God - same as you.

I mean it with all my heart when I say that I would like to just give you ALL a great big hug! I'm grateful for each day that I'm able to spend a few hours with you on the radio. I just wanted to take a few moments today to share that with you.
