He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. —Isaiah 53:5
I was talking with Kerry from the front office the other day, and we were reflecting on the movie, “The Passion of the Christ.” This week is where we all really reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. But it’s so easy to actually let ourselves become almost numb to the fact that our savior was so brutally beaten that his face must have been unrecognizable. His clothes had to be soaked in his own blood. He was so weak that he had to have physical help to drag the cross to the place of the skull. And THEN they hammered spikes through his arms and feet, and the entire weight of his exhausted body was hoisted off the ground, and hung from those four points.
Jesus Christ died a brutal death to cover our sins. Are we living a life that says, “thank you, Father?”
This was on my heart today, and so I pass it on to you. Thank you for reading, for being a part of my life, and for allowing me to be a part of yours!
In Christ,
-Fredly.
